February 2008 - Cozumel & Cancun, Mexico

While Michelle was working hard in Cancun I spent two days diving, first on the island of Cozumel and the second off the shores of Cancun. I was able to make 4 dives (two tanks on each trip) and was really fortunate to see a few spotted eagle rays, a hawksbill sea turtle and some fairly healthy stretches of reef.

November 2007 - Nā Pali Coast - Kauai, Hawaii

SKUNKED - A complete meltdown of my camera system skunked any efforts for underwater work this trip. Thankfully my uncle Syd had the spare D100 I loaned him a few years back that saved me from missing some fantastic views from our helicopter and boat trips to Kauai's Nā Pali Coast. Thanks Syd!!!

June 2007 - Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles

Diving with an underwater camera was an eye opening experience! I've never seen a landscape quite so extraordinary, and it posed some significant technical challenges that land based photographers never see! I'm officially hooked!

Why Photography?

I see a photograph as a tangible record of the journey from an experience to a memory. The memories we have of our experiences rely heavily on imagination. While I believe in expressing the truth of a photograph as permanent record of what my eyes have seen, its most imperative job is to serve as a link between your imagination and mine.

And that's the fun part for me. Every time the shutter drops is an opportunity for my imagination to connect with something in you.

Please enjoy these galleries and feel free to let me know what you think!
